Thomas Bjørn

The Dane achieved arguably the crowning glory of his career thus far when he led the European team to a resounding 17.5 – 10.5 victory over America in the 2018 Ryder Cup in France.

Bjørn claimed the last of his 15 European Tour titles when he won the 2013 Nedbank Golf Challenge hosted by Gary Player.

He was the first Danish golfer to be selected for the European Ryder Cup team in 1997. He was also the first Danish golfer to win a tournament on the European Tour in the 1996 Loch Lomond World Invitational.

Bjørn’s best performance in the Majors came in the 2003 Open Championship at Royal St George’s where he led by two strokes with three to play before losing out to American Ben Curtis.
